Lillian "Granny Lou" Bailey

Lucille “Granny Lou” Bailey, 83, of Leola passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. Lucille was born August 15, 1931 in Ulm, AR to Edward and Hilda Brands. She never remarried after losing her husband, and raised her daughter, Ruth, as a single mother and unconditionally loved her with all her heart. Even during bad times, Lucille always found the good in everything. She loved Jesus and all His children and would help anyone that was in need.
Lucille is predeceased by her husband, Elwood Bailey; and two step-sons, Hulett Bailey and Maurice Bailey.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Ruth Marie (Norman) Howard of Willow, AR; sister, Deloris Brands of Willow, AR; four grandchildren, Dona Scott, Tracy Bailey, Greg Bailey, and Michael Bailey; numerous great-grandchildren; and a large extended family that loved her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Walt Kirkman officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Tree Cemetery in Stuttgart, AR.
